    Sahabat SBI pasti sering sekali mendnegar istilah sea atau ocean dalam kalimat bahasa inggris. kedua kata tersebut memang sering digunakan dalam kalimat bahasa inggris terutama jika membahas hal-hal tertentu seperti liburan ataupun ingin menjelaskan cara terbentuknya menggunakan exposition text. Sea dan ocean banyak digunakan dengan cara yang bergantian dalam bahasa inggris. padahal keduanya tentu saja memiliki makna yang berbeda.

    Meskipun terlihat sama, namun sea dan ocean memiliki makna dan penggunaan yang berbeda. saat ini banyak sekali yang menggunakan keduanya secara bergantian dalam sebuah kalimat bahasa inggris, padahal jika ditilik dari pengertian dasarnya pun sudah berbeda. Oleh sebab itu, sahabat SBI harus memahami perbedaan serta penggunaan keduanya dengan baik. Berikut penjelasan masing-masing.


    What is Sea?

    Jika dalam bahasa inggris sea is a large body of salt water that is surrounded in whole or in part by land. Jika dalam bahasa indonesia, Sea atau laut merupakan kumpulan air laut yag asin yang luas dan berhubungan dengan samudra.


    Contoh SEA dalam Kalimat Bahasa Inggris

    • I will spend my vacation in the sea (aku akan menghabiskan liburanku di laut)
    • do you know what is the function of sea? (kamu tau apa fungsi laut?)
    • We can see beuatiful animal under the sea (kita dapat melihat binatang yang indah di bawah laut)

    What is Ocean?

     

    Dalam bahasa inggris, ocean is one of the major conventional divisions of the world. Dengan kata lain, ocean atau samudra merupakan laut yang luas dan massa air asin yang sambung menyambung.


    Contoh OCEAN dalam kalimat bahasa Inggris

    • How many oceans in this world? (ada berapa banyak samudra di dunia ini?)
    • Pasific ocean is the place that I want to visit (samudra pasifik merupakan tempat yang aku ingin kunjungi)
